Know The Tricks To Keep Your Necktie Wrinkle-Free

Almost all the fabrics used for making ties such as silk, polyester, cotton, linen and wool have what is known as a glass transition temperature. When the materials remain in its "glass" phase, the crystal like structure holds the individual polymers tightly. At temperatures above the glass transition threshold, some of the bonds holding these molecules together break. This allows the polymers to shift in relation to one another and form new bonds as they cool down. When the fabric returns to the glass phase—after it's been taken out of the dryer, for example—the altered structure gets locked in place in the form of wrinkles. Heat and water both cause the fabric to shrink and form wrinkles.

We’ve set out to put together a fabulous list of tips to help you keep your custom necktie wrinkle free, sparkling and beautiful:

How you are storing your tie is the most important thing to keep it wrinkle free. Creases will cause on the ties that are kept haphazardly. Piling clothes after clothes over your tie is not a good idea. Try to keep your ties separately and if possible always remain it hanging.

Do not crush aggressively while washing your it. Gently rub the satins and let it hang in a well-ventilated spot for a couple days and many of the wrinkles will naturally go away. Always wash your ties by hand separately.

Iron your tie only if absolutely necessary and before ironing the tie, check the tag on the necktie; it will normally display the recommended iron temperature.

Smooth finishing and flawless appearance of your neckwear are essential when attending an important client meeting or giving a crucial presentation.
